As I mentioned last week , the Cedar Cove pilot was shot on Vancouver Island and production was moved to the mainland for season 1. Since I have not been over to the island yet, the photo below is from Google.
It was very surreal. My deep appreciation and special thanks to Doug and Lynda. The cedar shake trim, inviting front porch, and gorgeous black front door really speak to me. In season 1 of Cedar Cove , Charlotte spent a lot of time visiting folks at this nursing home.
In real life, it is a nursing home located in Fort Langley. SO cool!!! In season 1, John rents this sweet craftsman bungalow. Interiors were also used. In season 3, we saw Justine, Rebecca, and Linnette move into this rental.
Look familiar? It should. This lovely home is located in Fort Langley. I have driven past it but sadly, nothing can be seen from the road. And I would love to see that fountain out front!!! I remember thinking it looked like Crescent Beach where they were spotted on location many times but I will have a closer look. I love your show. You have a great cast. Hopefully you are supportive to each other on and off camera. I am curious. What type name brand is the bicycle that Audri rides. I would like very much to know as I would like to get back into riding a bike but being old enough to be her mother I chose the wrong one and have not ridden it.
The bike she rides if more the type Iwas used to when I was much younger. Keep up the great job on the show everyone. I direct plays and musicals in high school and middle school so I try to point my students in the direction of good acting, although, I tell them that TV is an entirely different type of acting than live stage but they can still pick up good acting pointers within the building of a character and learning how to experss it and own that character on staage.
